The ancient Greeks asked oracle for answers; Native Americans fasted in the desert; I go climbing.

Germans redpoint Hotel Supramonte

Christian Bindhammer and Damaris Knorr are the first Germans to redpoint the 400m Hotel Supramonte (8b) in Sardinia.

Christian Bindhammer on Hotel Supramonte (8b) in Sardinia

The two German Champions 2003 had planned for long time to defeat together the legendary wall at the Gole di Gorropu. The amazing, 400m line of Hotel Supramonte 8b, extremely exposed and overhanging is one of the most difficult multi-pitch routes in the world.
After climbing in one day two routes: Kein Wasser kein Mond 9+/10- and New Age 10- last year, Christian felt that the time came to conquer the Supramonte. The two Edelrid team members gave themselves two weeks to redpoint the route. Still they wanted to climb the route fast.

Hotel Supramonte was opened bottom-up by Rolando Larcher and Roberto Vigiani. It offers very technical and pychologicaly demanding climbing with bolts spaced well apart.
